You pissed and moaned:
So our society had successfully addressed the grocery shopping bags, well done Victoria! But I still see folks using copious amounts of plastic bags for produce..Granted they might be a wee bit wet, and larger amounts might get confusing for shoppers and cashiers to contain. I also don't understand why i never hear about the over use or inappropriate use of these plastic bags? I watch as people put one or two pieces of fruit in a bag...and where does that bag end up? I've even had cashiers offer to put the fruit in plastic bags at check out. Or maybe i have missed all the advertisements, news reels, talk shows, initiatives etc on this topic. ps: this would be an awesome product to market....light weight, washable, sealable, reuseable bags that come on maybe two sized
Shut and die you fucking hippie. Just because ONE food chain (Thrifty Foods) has done away with the plastic grocery bags hardly counts as society successfully addressing the problem. Safeway, Save-ON-Foods, Welburns, Country Grocer, Market on Yates, Market on Millstream, Fairways, and a plethora of other food/retail outlets still use plastic bags. This was strictly smart marketing on the part of Thrifty Foods, after all it brought all the enviro fucktards like you on board. And who the fuck are you to lecture anyone about overuse of plastic bags? Why don't you tell me, or someone else next time you see it and see what sorta reaction they get. Now fuck off and take a bath you stupid ape.
